History walk 3

The footpath from Sandy Lane to Cess Road, leaving Sandy Lane at TG449182 and reaching Cess Road at TG445180

The footpath leaves Sandy Lane at TG449182 and goes in a south westerly direction straight across a cropped field to a gap in a hedge.  This field is ploughed annually and the path reinstated or trodden by walkers.  The path continues on through the gap in the hedge across another area of grassland where it is marked by short posts.  It eventually reaches a gate and continues on across rough land, which is part of the premises of a boat building firm, until it reaches Cess Road at TG445180.  This last part of the path does not have marked boundaries, it was however the Private Road No. 18 on the Enclosure Map of 1812.
